Christmas Party for Tweens

Updated: Jun 13, 2021

My daughter and her friends wanted to celebrate the holidays with a little get together. So I hosted a fun party that included cookie decorating, hot cocoa bar and gift exchange for them to enjoy!

Table ready for cookie decorating!

I just use a basic sugar cookie mix from my local grocery store (time saver) ;) I also purchase basic icing and add food dye to create fun and festive colors. I have the kids use popsicle sticks to apply the icing to the cookies.

I love using a cupcake pan to organize all of the toppings. The little plastic spoons can be found at any crafts store.

Cocoa Bar Items:

* Starbucks K Cups (I purchase at Safeway, but you can find at Amazon and Target as well)

* Mini Marshmallows

* Festive stir sticks and gourmet marshmallows I found at Target in the holiday section.

* Santa Mugs (collected over the years from Cost Plus World Market and Target). If you love Santa Mugs like I do, check out this site I found! Quite a selection.

The girls decided to have a gift exchange and my daughter also created her own "Christmas games" so the girls could win prizes.

Can't wait to host another party!! If you have some fun Christmas party ideas, please send them my way!

Merry Christmas!
