Enjoy a Trip To Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

There is something wonderful about visiting a place that maybe you travel to once a year, or maybe it is a place you always visit with family or close friends, or maybe it is just that place that always seems to create the most wonderful memories. Puerto Vallarta is one of those places for me.

I started traveling here when I was a teenager with my family, and have loved it ever since! My parents loved it so much back then, that they purchased a place that we are lucky enough to visit usually on a yearly basis. Now our kids have been coming since before they were one year old and love it just has much as I do.

If you ever find yourself in this fun and vibrant town, I have listed a few of our favorites below.

These are pictures and memories from over the many years we have traveled here.

Where to stay:

We are lucky to have a condo within the Buganvilias Resort Vacation Club. This resort has condos and also has a hotel for guests as well.

This is located closer to town and the fabulous MALECON.

There are also plenty of resorts and condos over in the area called Nuevo Vallarta as well.

Where to go:

The Malecon (Boardwalk) - This is the place that is vibrant, busy and fun. It is a boardwalk of sorts along the waterfront. It is the place you are likely to go for dinner each night, maybe lunch or brunch, shop, people watch, and it has entertainment in the evening and lots of fun music!

Choco Museo - We all had so much fun here! We learned so much about making truffles. all the types of chocolate, how to temper chocolate and making flavored ganache! The best part was being able to eat and take what we made! I recommend making reservations ahead of time.

Our Lady of Guadalupe Church - This is one of the most beautiful churches and recently celebrated 100 years. It is knows locally as La Iglesia de Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe. It is a Catholic place of worship and is open daily.

The Tortilleria -

Xocodiva Artisan Chocolates - Yes, more chocolate, and so worth going!!

Where to eat:

Pipi's - This is a tourist favorite for sure! Known for amazing fajitas and very large Margaritas!

La Dolce Vita - Because sometimes you just want Italian food while in Mexico :) This restaurant has amazing Italian food and is right off of the Malecon. Great desserts too!

Cafe De Olla- By far my favorite restaurant in PV!

LIX - Best Ice Cream around!! I always get the Dark Chocolate or Mint Chocolate Chip :)

What to do:

Las Caletas - We specifically love Vallarta Adventures, especially if you have kids. Definitely plan ahead and make reservations. They have day and evening excursions to enjoy!

I hope you enjoyed this little peak into Puerto Vallarta!

Happy Traveling!

XOXO

Elisa
